Healing Yoga & Restorative Practices

Experience Deep Rest for Lasting Healing

In a world that constantly demands more, restorative yoga offers the profound invitation to do less, and receive more. As a certified Yoga Instructor and part of my holistic coaching approach, I guide you through therapeutic practices that support your body in comfortable, elongated poses, held for extended periods using props like blankets, bolsters, and blocks. This isn't about performance; it's about presence, profound rest, and tapping into your inherent capacity for healing.

How Restorative Yoga Can Transform Your Well-being:

  • Deep Relaxation & Stress Reduction: Activates the parasympathetic nervous system, shifting you from 'fight or flight' to 'rest and digest.'

  • Enhanced Mental Clarity & Emotional Release: Creates space for stillness, allowing thoughts to settle and emotions to be processed gently.

  • Gentle Healing & Recovery: Supports your body's natural healing processes, particularly beneficial for chronic pain management and recovery from exhaustion or stress.

  • Improved Sleep Quality: Promotes a deep sense of calm that translates into more restful nights.

  • Increased Flexibility & Mind-Body Connection: Gently opens the body and deepens your awareness of your physical and energetic self.

  • Foundation for Self-Discovery: By quieting the external, you create space to connect with your inner wisdom and authentic self, complementing your coaching journey towards lasting freedom from pain and addiction.

Who Is Restorative Yoga For?

This practice is ideal if you are:

  • Living with chronic pain or illness and seeking gentle relief.

  • Navigating addiction recovery and need tools for self-regulation and grounding.

  • Feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed and yearning for deep relaxation.

  • New to yoga or prefer a very gentle, supportive practice.

  • Looking to cultivate a deeper mind-body connection and inner peace.

What Clients Are Saying

Andrea is an amazing and intuitive teacher who loves yoga and continues to learn and explore life. I have been working with her since 2020 and have grown and healed with her support. She is more than just my teacher, she is my friend and guide. With Sroopa she has always given me a gentle push but also can calmly talk and see me out of a difficult position. I have changed and experienced many new chapters in my life since I have met Andrea. One thing I cherish is she has seen me grow and I know she will continue to be part of my story.

- Michelle P -

She is an amazing yoga teacher, dedicated to healing people mentally and physically. She helped me through a very difficult time during the COVID-19 pandemic when I had several episodes. She taught me techniques to calm and improve my sleep. I also have a chronic back problem, and she has been helping me with it. Now, I manage back pain well, and I can physically do most of the activities I want. I am very satisfied with me and my life.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • What props do I need for virtual restorative yoga sessions? You'll want a few blankets (bath towels work too!), a pillow or bolster, and potentially some blocks or books for support. A yoga mat is not necessary. We can adapt with what you have!

  • Do I need prior yoga experience? Not at all! Restorative yoga is accessible to all levels, including absolute beginners. The focus is on comfort and stillness, not complex poses.

  • What should I wear? Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for ease of movement is best.

  • What if I have limited mobility or specific injuries? Please let me know in advance. I can offer modifications to ensure poses are safe and comfortable for your body.

  • What if I am not flexible? More reason to try out my class. Restorative yoga is about opening, not stretching. The release of tension around the spine will help you to become more flexible and movable.
